You can not change this online using internet banking or mobile banking. The only way you can do this is by visiting your Bank of Baroda home branch. (offline method)

Steps to Change Name in Bank of Baroda Account:
  1. Take an A4 size paper.
  2. Start writing an application letter.
  3. The letter should address the branch manager of your BOB home branch.
  4. Mention the subject of the letter as “Change of Name in Bank Account”.
  5. In the body section of the letter explain that you want to change or modify your name that is mentioned in the account details.
  6. Make sure you mention your old name, new name, and bank account number.
  7. Mention the name of the proof document you are providing as an enclosure at the end of the letter.
  8. Take a clear photocopy of the proof document and make your signature on it. (self attest the photocopy)
  9. Attach the application letter with the photocopy and submit them to bank officials at your BOB home branch.


While you visit the branch of the bank. Make sure you carry the original copy of your proof document. Because the bank officials will ask for the original copy for verification purposes.
