Visit the nearest branch of the HDFC Bank.
Carry the documentation like your identity proof document, bank passbook, cheque book, and debit card.
Speak with the bank officials.
Tell the officials that you want to close your account, and you have cleared the negative balance you had in the account.
Submit the form to start the process of closing down your account.
Note: Once the account is closed you can not use it in any way. And you can carry PAN Card or Aadhaar Card as an identity proof document.
