If you want to use your State Bank of India credit card with the ATM Machines. Then you will have to activate or enable this function of your card. By default, this will be disabled for most of the cards that are issued by SBI Card. In this guide, I will tell you the process to enable SBI Credit Card ATM transactions.
The company will not charge you to enable the ATM transactions on your card. But keep in mind that the cash withdrawals attract extra fees. You will have to pay 2.5% of the amount withdrawn or Rs. 500 whichever is higher. This fee will be automatically debited in your card’s account. You need not enter this extra while withdrawing.
You can activate ATM transactions for your card online. There is no need of following any offline methods like calling customer care. And asking them to do it for you. But before I explain the methods I want to tell you that you can change the settings of your card only using the official website and the app.
So never ever share your card details with anybody. No one from the credit card company will ever call you asking for your card details. And also make sure that you don’t enter your card details on any of the third-party websites or apps unnecessarily.
Methods to Activate SBI Credit Card’s ATM Transactions
Choose any method and follow the instructions.
Using the Official App of SBI Card
- Download and Install the official app of the SBI Card.
- Open the app and login into your account.
- Tap on “Settings”.
- Select “Manage Card Usage” from the settings menu.
- Choose between “International” and domestic usage of the card.
- Look for “ATM Transactions”.
- Toggle the button to enable it and tap on the “Apply” button.
- You will receive an OTP via SMS on your registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and tap on the “Submit” button.
Using the Official Website of SBI Card
- Visit the official website of SBI Card.
- Login to your account.
- Click on “Manage Card Usage” this can be found in the left sidebar of the dashboard.
- Choose between domestic and international transactions.
- Look for “ATM Transactions”, toggle the button to enable it.
- Click on the “Apply” button.
- The system will send you an OTP.
- Enter the OTP correctly.
- And click on the “Submit” button.
