DigiLocker’s security PIN is required when you are trying to access your account using the official app. It is always a good practice to change your PIN and passwords frequently. In this guide, I will tell you how you can change your DigiLocker account security PIN.
You can change your security PIN in less than 2 minutes. All you need is the official app installed on your smartphone, access to your account and you are good to go. While you install the official application make sure you install the app from Google Play Store and Apple App Store only.
The security PIN that we are talking about is a 6 digits number. But to change your PIN you should know the current PIN that you have set to your account. And the other thing is you will not be charged anything to change this.
- Open the official DigiLocker app and login into your account.
- Tap on “Menu”.
- Select “My Account” from the menu.
- Look for “Security PIN”.
- Tap on the “Edit” button corresponding to the Security PIN.
- Enter your Current PIN, enter your New PIN, and tap on the “Set PIN” button.
Another thing you should make sure of is setting your new PIN you should make sure that the PIN is hard to guess. And also keep in mind that you can not change your PIN using any third-party websites or apps. So never enter your credentials until you really trust the third-party platform you are using.
