There is a difference between the regular ATM machine and the SBI Cash Deposit Machine. And the difference is the regular ATM machine lets us withdraw the money but we can’t deposit cash using it. Whereas the Cash Deposit Machine lets us withdraw money as well as deposit cash using it.

  1. Find a State Bank of India CDM which is near to your location.
  2. Dip in or insert your SBI ATM card into the machine and take it out.
  3. Select the language in which you would like to operate the Cash Deposit Machine.
  4. Enter your ATM PIN Number into the machine.
  5. Select Deposit from the screen.
  6. After that select Cash Deposit option from the next screen.
  7. Keep your money in the cash deposit slot.
  8. The machine will not validate the money you have kept in the cash deposit slot.
  9. You will see the summary of the money you have kept in the cash deposit slot.
  10. Confirm it by selecting Confirm option.
  11. And finally, collect the receipt and you can leave the premises.

Important Points to Remember

  • The number of cash notes you keep in the machine should not exceed 200.
  • The total amount of deposit should not exceed Rs.49900.
  • The machine displays the number of acceptable notes only.
  • You can add more cash from the summary page by selecting Add More Cash option.
  • The money will be instantly deposited into your State Bank of India account.
  • Don’t forget to collect the transaction receipt from the machine for reference.
